Bale Collection Path Planning Using an Autonomous Vehicle with Neighborhood Collection Capabilities

This research was mainly focused on the evaluation of path planning approaches as a prerequisite for automation bale collection operations. A comparison between traditional approach using vehicles such tractors, and loaders with an optimized new autonomous articulated concept vehicle neighborhood reach capabilities (AVN) carried out. Furthermore, effects carrying capacity reduction in working distance operation also studied. It concluded that AVN increased significantly reduced can thus improve agricultural sustainability, particularly within forage handling.
